Another thought about “lore” is the way it can grow and change with us through time, a living thing. The Law / Lore comparison is a bit like writing / orality. When lore was primarily shared through orality it lived and changed with us. When it all got written down, like the Bible, it becomes more static. Something to squeeze into that pinches until it can become lore again through the reopening of ancient words and applying living and present sensibility and relationship.

I have just compiled my festive 50 songs that are new to me this year… lots of fun… but also I wasn’t surprised with my artist of the year… it was Ride…they had a new album and I don’t let Spotify tell me what to listen to… realised as I wrote this that I have set some rules/laws! lol if you fancy messaging me your own festive playlist of the year I would love to listen to it!
